I am an amateur photographer, living in Goleta, California.
Goleta is West of Santa Barbara and is the true location of the University
of California Santa Barbara. My family is from Philadelphia and I grew
up in Pennsylvania. I attended Moravian Academy in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
for six years, and I went on to Boston College, where I earned a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Psychology. During my junior year of college, I studied
in Fribourg, Switzerland and travelled extensively throughout Europe.
After college, I lived in San Francisco for three years, working in
law libraries and taking classes at Berkeley. I moved to Santa Barbara
to attend graduate school and earned a Master of Arts degree in History.
After finishing graduate school, I pursued my interests in surfing and
playing bass guitar. I am currently employed as a librarian and I am
enrolled in the Santa Barbara College of Law.
Lately, my interest has "focussed" on photography,
and I have studied at the Photographic Institute in Goleta. For the
most part, I have been photographing landscapes and flowers. I mostly
admire the work of Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, but I am frequently
impressed by other photographers work.
